Gmarket Haul…with Haaky! (Peripera, Etude House, Holika Holika)

Here’s what I got for Christmas from my parents, brother and fiancé! :) Gmarket shopping is always a special treat for me, because the shipping is usually a bit too expensive for me personally to shop there regularly. So I wait for the holidays or special occasions ;) But the stuff on Gmarket is always soooo good :D So I was super excited to receive this package!

Gmarket Haul - December 2011

And a makeup haul wouldn’t be a true Suzy style makeup haul if I didn’t have my trusty assistant Haaky with me while I show the products! Poor Haaky, he had to be my makeup guinea pig in this one…

E.L.F. Stuffies! First Impressions!

W00t w00t! My E.L.F. stuffies arrived yesterday! They cheered me up, as I’m not having the best week, so YAY! Look at zee pretties! :happydance:

Eyes Lips Face Stuffies

In the picture:

  • E.L.F. Studio Flawless Finish Foundation in the colour Porcelain.
  • E.L.F. Nail Polish in the colour Gum Pink.
  • E.L.F. Mineral Foundation in the colour Fair.
  • E.L.F. Liquid Lipstick in the colour Perfect Pink.
  • E.L.F. (no, really? :P ) Shimmer Pencil in the colour Precious Pink.

I’m sensing a pink theme  Anyway, some of my first impressions…

Eyes Lips Face Stuffies

I can’t test the Flawless Finish Foundation properly yet, because my eczema and angioedema are having a wild ‘n crazy party on my face. But I did try it out on my hand and the undertones seem way too pink. It’s also not super pale unfortunately. Like I (and apparantely Gossmakeupartist too  ) always say, neutral toned foundations are the way forward.

But my BFF Jenni is visiting me next week and I think this might actually be the perfect colour for her :D I do love the glass bottle and the fact that it comes with a pump though, very hygienic. And the semi-matte finish is rather pretty :) But more on this product later.

The Liquid Lipstick in Perfect Pink instantly received the highest honour a lip product can get in my stash…a coveted spot in my purse  Seriously, I tried it on and fell in love with it. What a beautiful colour and great lasting power. As soon as my face is back to normal, I’ll do a review of this.

Haven’t tried the Mineral Foundation yet :) The Shimmer Pencil in Precious Pink seems lovely; it’s a great brightening colour for the waterline or lower lashline, so I’m rather pleased with that one as I’m running out of my beloved Pupa Baroque Couture pencil :D

I’ll post an NOTD of the Nail Polish in Gum Pink tomorrow or later today. I was really surprised by the quality, one coat seems to provide good coverage and the colour is fun!

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of them?

Geisha Inspired Hair Accessories

Are you ready for hair accessory photo pr0n? Because ohh lawdy, do I have a treat for you! You may have already seen the red hair pin in my The Bride Of The Water God tutorial, but the vid didn’t show a good close-up of the gorgeousness that is my new geisha inspired handmade hair pin! And I have a pink one too! Double the overly girly goodness! Weeeeeee! :happydance:

Geisha Inspired Hair Accessories

Both hair pins came in pretty boxes, with a bow! Ya hear me? A bow! Aaaahh, I get so easily excited :cheer:

Geisha Inspired Hair Accessories

OMG! ANOTHER BOW! I bought them for myself, but because of the way they were wrapped, it felt like I was receiving a present

Geisha Inspired Hair Accessories

And here they are :D Aren’t they gorgeous? I bought them from Sophine Giam’s Etsy store and I’m completely in love with them  They look fabulous with the high hair bun hairstyle that I often wear. And best thing of all? They were very inexpensive! $8 and $10…you can’t beat that price :) Especially with the current exchange rate, hehehe…

Geisha Inspired Hair Accessories

The red one matches my Yukata so well :) I tried to take a photo of the red hair pin in my hair, but failed miserably, so I grabbed some photo’s off the Etsy store’s page.

I’m so so SO happy with these hair pins! And I’m surprised how securely they “sit” in the hair. I mean, they wouldn’t stay put in a hurricane of course, but they won’t fall out easily either. Awesome purchase, no? :D
