4000 subbies op YouTube! Dat zijn bijna evenveel inwoners als Maasdijk…en het Drentse dorp Norg schijnbaar Ik weet nog dat ik een poos geleden tegen BFF Haaky zei dat als ik 1500 subbies zou halen, ik heeeeel tevreden en happy zou zijn. Toen haalde ik opeens de 3000 en nu de 4000! Zo. enorm. maf. Volgens mij ga ik echt van m’n stokje als ik ooit de 5000 haal

Maar zoiets tofs moet natuurlijk gevierd worden! Een aantal leuke webshops waren zo lief om wat prijzen te sponsoren dus zodra ik alles heb ontvangen zal er een giveaway video verschijnen op m’n YT kanaal Maar drie van de gesponsorde prijzen zijn deze mooie nagellakjes van Sleek MakeUP en Sinful Colors (hartelijk bedankt Boozyshop.nl en AliceJo.com!!).

Aangezien de douane niet zo blij is met nagellak in postpakketten naar bijv. de VS (Kinder Surprise mag ook niet hoorde ik ), heb ik besloten om de lakjes apart te houden (want dat zal je altijd zien, dan wint er precies iemand uit de VS of Canada haha!). Pech voor m’n buitenlandse subbies dus, maar een geluk voor jullie, want ik ga deze drie lakjes weggeven aan één lucky winna(a)r(es) uit Nederland of België.

Gmarket Haul…with Haaky! (Peripera, Etude House, Holika Holika)

Here’s what I got for Christmas from my parents, brother and fiancé! Gmarket shopping is always a special treat for me, because the shipping is usually a bit too expensive for me personally to shop there regularly. So I wait for the holidays or special occasions But the stuff on Gmarket is always soooo good So I was super excited to receive this package!

And a makeup haul wouldn’t be a true Suzy style makeup haul if I didn’t have my trusty assistant Haaky with me while I show the products! Poor Haaky, he had to be my makeup guinea pig in this one…

Where art thou, Suzy?

안녕하세요 my lovely dumplings! Wow, it’s been a while, huh? Hope you’re all doing well and that you’re looking forward to Christmas and New Year’s Oh how time flies!

I just wanted to give you all a little update to let you know I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth You know how it is, “real life” can become hectic sometimes and then you have to set priorities and make choices. There simply aren’t enough hours in the day at the moment to focus on both beauty blogging as well as YouTubin’ it up, so I chose to focus solely on my YouTube channel for now.

I’m actually getting closer and closer to a whoppin’ 4000 subscribers!! Can you believe it?! It’s exciting and terrifying at the same time And I plan to celebrate 4k in a big way by organising an awesome giveaway, so I’ve been working on finding sponsors and putting prize packages together.

So for now, I would suggest subscribing to my YouTube channel if you want to follow me on the WWW…as I don’t post all of my new videos on my blog I do hope to get back to blogging in 2012 though, because I really do miss it. I also have an English Twitter account, which I update waaaaaaay more (i.e. non-stop) than my Dutch one.

So what else has been up in the world of Suzy, you ask? Well, I got engaged! No one was surprised though, considering my ~~boyfriend~~ fiancé and I have been together for 7 years and have been living together since 2007. Aaand we travelled to Berlin to visit our family there because I became an aunt again! And I’m about to become an aunt yet again; it’s like baby boom central over here

But there were also some low points, sadly. We’re travelling to the UK in a couple of days because my fiancé’s dad underwent surgery And my mum had to undergo eye surgery again after the artificial lens in her only functioning eye detached itself. The recovery afterwards didn’t go smoothly either, due to one of the stitches not dissolving and causing an infection. You can imagine the amount of stress this all caused…

And my own health has been the usual roller coaster I got the flu in November and my whole body went nuts-o. I’m still not fully recovered from it. But you know me, I’m like teflon Or I like to think I’m like teflon anyway *knocks on wood*

Righto, I’d better stop rambling now or else this blog post will become as long as Lord Of The Rings. Have a fantastic Christmas and a kickass New Year’s everyone! Stay safe (careful with fireworks, mmkay?) and I hope to talk to you all very soon on YouTube/Facebook/Twitter!

Suzy the Dolly Gaijin Gyaru

This Gyaru makeup tutorial was inspired by my recent experience of going to a big Dutch anime convention, Abunai 2011. One of the things I did there was attend a Gyaru lecture, held by two gals of the Dutch Gyarusa, Hyper.

Even though I’m obsessed with Korean (pop) culture, I fell in love with Japanese Gyaru style after attending that kickass lecture. So I just HAD to film a makeup tutorial! It was actually quite difficult to apply Gyaru makeup, considering I have caucasian features and my eyeshape is the complete opposite of an Asian eyeshape (I have deepset eyes). But I really hope you’ll like the video!
